What feminists show is that women, if left to their own devices, will define equality as she gets everything and any one else gets nothing. At first his is directed as benefiting all women at the expense of all men but as men are increasingly erased women begin having to erase each other to get what the individual woman wants. This is what one sees with the hostility to Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham from the lesbians in the LNBA (call the WNBA what it is).
The reason feminists are so supportive of trans athletes in women's sports is that they remember it was WOMEN's demands to be in men's spaces that created women's sports in the first place. Even today, those who try to argue to keep men out of women's sports and spaces don't extend that requirement to keeping women out of men's sports and spaces. ESPN reporter Michele Tafoya (now running for MN Senate) for example lauded the push by female reporters to get into NFL, NBA and NHL locker rooms as necessary to fairness for their career advancement even when the men where clearly uncomfortable with this...but now is campaigning on men and boys being kept out to women's spaces and athletics because it is not FAIR to women. The hypocrisy knows no limits.
The solution is actually to support efforts like those of Royce White and Enis Kantor Freedom to force the issue by demanding that women stop being shielded by special rules and protected classes but be forced to compete on merit. Retired NBA players, like high school boys teams, can easily outcompete the best WNBA teams. If this head to head competition is allowed to occur it will forever end the feminist fantasy that women are competitive in physical activities with men...something that the entire feminist series of demands under the guise of equality depend on. Women generally are unwilling to have that reality exposed as it means that society will now have a justification for using the word NO to many demands from women. Indeed...society as a whole would benefit if the general answer to women's demands for the next century was categorically NO.

Yup. When I was in college in the 90's Title IX was used to destroy the mens' wrestling, lacrosse, crew and baseball teams at UNH to make room for women's teams that, even the women's coaches admitted couldn't give the scholarships away because few women had the interest to pursue the sport seriously. I had 2 of these women junior coaches for basketball and swimming respectively as roommates in my last year in NH. One night when they were drunk they were laughing up a storm trying to figure out if there were any other STRAIGHT women amongst the women's athletics staff besides themselves. They couldn't think of any!
What is sad is the wrestling program was the first cut...with the the coach of that team luck enough to be reassigned to coach lacrosse. 2 years later they cut lacrosse and he was fired. The man became so depressed he wasted away and died in his upper 40's. I had his son in school...poor kid had to see his family destroyed for the feminist bean counters! The cost of coddling women is far, far, far from ZERO!
I think this is worth interrogating, but I’d apply that same standard across the board. “Toxic masculinity” can absolutely become a loaded shortcut, but so can “female nature,” “hypergamy,” “modern women,” and plenty of other terms.
