Today’s video is a lively and revealing conversation with Jim Nuzzo about the growing panic over what the media and academia call “the manosphere.” Together, we take a close look at a new Australian guide for teachers that claims to help schools deal with so-called misogynistic behavior among boys.
You'd be surprised at how young the boys are when they start to question these things - even without any online influence. I work in UK primary schools - (I think this is elementary schools in the US). I was teaching a Year 6 class - aged 10 - 11. One boy used the word 'glazing' for some reason. I asked what it meant, (we weren't talking about windows at the time and you've got to keep up with the latest slang). He defined it as praising or giving one person special treatment. He wasn't that clear so I asked for an example. He said, "It's when a boy does something and he gets told off for it, but when a girl does it no one says anything."
Boys know very early on that girls get special treatment.
He's right , when i was in school girls were treated better than boys , its something that's always disgusted me. Feminists complain about discrimination but sexism against boys is kept quiet when it shouldn't be. Feminists are sexist pigs.
This is a good discussion of "The Guide to the Manosphere" but I feel it misses the bigger picture. The Manosphere is a new feminist construct designed to replace the old feminist construct of The Patriarchy, which is becoming obsolete as women gain power and wealth in society. It's getting very difficult for feminists to sustain their tired victim narrative of an oppressive Patriarchy holding them back, when so many women occupy positions of power themselves nowadays, including majority female governments here in Australia. With women now enjoying so much success in the world, the old feminist propaganda around female disadvantage and "structural inequities" no longer rings true. No one is buying it any more, so the memo has gone out to feminists everywhere: "Forget about the Patriarchy, the new enemy is the Manosphere." It's basically an updated version of the Patriarchy, which functions much the same in feminist ideology, but brings it into the digital age, and incorporates key aspects of 3rd and 4th wave feminism, specifically around disrespect, violence, and sexual abuse of women. As such it refreshes and renews the feminist victim narrative, and makes it relevant to younger generations of feminists, for whom slogans like "Smash the Patriarchy" must seem incredibly dated. OMG that's so second wave! I predict the word Patriarchy will all but disappear from feminist rhetoric, to be replaced by ever increasing mention of the Manosphere. It has already become the new frontier in the feminist war against men and boys, which this "Guide" seeks to promote.
attacking and blaming boys but dismissing misandry and feminist double standard sexism wont help boys at all, its just demonising them even more and doing feminists sexism for them..
Someone has yet to convince me that the manosphere actually exists in the way I hear it talked about. It's just rising social hysteria - and when sustained, that never bodes well for society.

I only realized the psychodynamics of female irresponsibility recently. They externalize locus of control. And refuse to introspect or reflect on their actions due to the painful aspect. Which permanently locks them out of self improvement.
They are designed to require external locus of control. But no one will smack them as a child or slap them as a feminist. So they encounter no resistance to antisocial behaviour and ratchet it up due to rising internal cognitive dissonance.

Whats interesting is that the boys are exploring societies boundaries as well as learning critical thinking skills by challenging the narrative.
