The feminist take on Amerix seems obvious: what they object-to is that he's telling men to focus on themselves, their goals, their work, their mission, their nation, but what he should be doing is telling men to focus on WOMEN, since they are all victims of ................. what?
Their point of view is stunningly clear - "Men, stop improving yourselves; you don't have time for that stuff, c'os it's all about MEEEEEEEEE!"
Tom, I continue to be grateful for your insight and your logic. Through the decades, your work has helped me navigate through these times when disruptions and conflicts regarding this most basic level of human interaction--men and women--have threatened balance and health of society. Just received "The Way Men Heal, Second Edition" yesterday and looking forward to reading it. Keep up the good work!
I've never heard anyone talk about toxic femininity or female privilege etc. And in my (limited) experience, if you bring up this imbalance it is very hard to get women to even understand what you mean, let alone engage with it. So sad - God does not grade on a curve; he uses the same measure for all of us, male or female.
Radical feminism relies on men not actually reading or taking interest in what they are saying because if the average man did understand he would be quite annoyed by the subterfuge and disingenuity.
A very similar thing happened to Jordan Peterson and his messages.
<and micro-practices that need to be uncovered and corrected>.
I wish Jordan Peterson and Amerix were around to guide me in the 1980s when I started down the path of self exploration, in stead I was being guided by the feminist narrative.
In the past there have been numerous attempts at correcting male behaviour, such as accusing men who are sexually attracted to women as treating women as sex objects.
The came the "Sexual Harrassement" again under the guise of educating men, which very quickly morphed into draconian laws to punish the male gender, language changed from courtship, wooing, to grooming and harrassement.
You have just given a great example of the reason feminists dislike the truth and people reading primary sources or women having to defend their statements in courts of law. The truth is rarely on the side of the feminist position on virtually anything!
The journal provides the following in its profile of one of the paper’s authors: “her PhD focuses on how heterosexual masculinity not only perpetuates femicide in Kenya, but also erases the role of heterosexuality from the femicide problem.”
thanks for that. Crazy stuff right? do you have a link for that? would love to see it. There was one of Amerix's posts that the paper used that had an [...] in the middle. Made me wonder what he was leaving out. I wrote the email listed on Amerix's site and asked about that quote. Never hear back
If you follow the above link to one of the author's LinkedIn page, there is a copy of the paper embedded in LinkedIn which you can scroll through and you should be able to find the quote you ask about. But it is not downloadable.
Meanwhile if you click on the journal link in your own post it will bring you to a page of the journal. Below the abstract of the paper, and the references, there is a bio of each of the authors, from which I took my quote.
You didn't trust FNN (The Feminist News Network)? There you go. Another example of rampant misogyny and devaluing women's work… tsk, tsk, tsk… (Way to go, Tom.)
Feminists don't want anyone to help men because the one thing feminists don't want is equality. In their sexist hypocrite minds only women should get any help. My opinion is that Feminists can piss off.
Thanks for posting this. This man may not need anyone to defend him, but that is not the point: he should be defended, and you have done this by setting the record straight.
not related! but my thought about gynocentrism, if I can hold it together.
Today I got to a thought where I thought, women are the worst in defending this idea, this behaviour.
I would say a lot of men would acknowledge that some men have treated some women badly at some stage of human history!
Yet!
When it comes for women to admit that women have treated other women - or men - badly in human history, they will not admit it and point the finger back at 'men'.
This happened to me with a female family member recently, and that is where a female said something about another woman that was tantamount to physically abusing a woman that would probably end up with her dying. it was promoted as Satire on a TV program in Australia.
However, when talking about this with my female family member, it was suggested that the attacked woman was attacked because of her business status in life AND NOT because she was a woman.
At that point I realised that there is no winning with this ladies.
At the most, and if what was suggested at me is true, and I cannot deny that I don't understand that it might not be; the attacker has separated out the behaviour or suggestion of harming a fellow human being based on their hatred of successful people - from the physical body of the person she attacked and in this case, that was a female.
I hope this makes sense to someone! I woke up with this on my mind...and I tend to jump around.
I also read a comment, totally unrelated: "I think the common denominator is falling in love with the fantasy while ignoring everything reality is trying to tell them."
[the comment in a blog was talking about communism]
The word fantasy strikes me as something to think about. Recently, I mentioned the words Eroticism and Fetish.
I recently read, on a gay newsletter that I'm part of, the words: "side by side at every pride; no equality without solidarity"
It is pure fantasy to think that the LGBTQI++++ that I am part of, is actually solid. There are huge fights going on, maybe not out in the public, between different competents of the LGBTQI++; it is pure fantasy to think that the United Nations are United! It is pure fantasy but promoted as reality , that is being thrown at us by leaders, extreme controlling activists and the other thing is that many groups have good visibility but do they have an actual plan.
I hardly ever think that we should all be united.
Fantasy is rife in gynocentrism!
If I am first in the queue and then give my position to a female out of some sense of 'she deserves more', 'she is older' , 'she is weaker', 'she is a woman' etc., etc., or I project my previous thoughts and upbringing and what I've been taught but not thought about for myself.. this is fantasy.
I know that Tom is focusing on on gynocentrism and has for some time and wants to focus on how it all plays out, but what touched me is also an interview with you Tom. You explained how you saw men being discriminated against. This, I think, is also what happened with Janice and I saw Janice talk about this in her many videos.
So, what am I saying in all this.
I encounter more and more how a lot of women will blame men for everything that is wrong in their own lifes, despite these same women creating that life. It is such a circular way of living;
I encounter my own unconscious thinking of somehow protecting women, in my own fantasy, and this is constantly challenged when I read news papers, blogs like this and other [James Nuzzo presents many statistics that show that women are clearly no longer disadvantaged and in fact have many opportunities offered to them];
I encounter direct push back, when I push back, at how terrible men;
I have now experienced where a woman attacked, the justification mentioned above, another woman but it was the Roles in life that this woman play, that was attacked and not the woman directly. One could say the Identity was attacked.
However, a lot of women/feminists are attacking men personally and attack their very core of who they are while promoting the propaganda that they are 'attacking the patriarchy' .. but, as Janice reminded us/me recently, the patriarchy is Men and why not just have the courage to say 'men'!!
I also realise that all this is like co-dependecy in a relationship, where things are so enmeshed that it is hard to sort out, to think about all this and that is because it is a melting pot of: past behaviours, fantasy etc., emotional outrage, non-objective thinking and maybe even 'pure control of others' - whether they are males or females...

Bingo!

Thank you Kathy. I do value our long term friendship. It's a blessing.
Thanks for sharing this discovery!
Well, don't know who this guy is, but I can tell you ONE Kenyan this is NOT.
lol

Yes indeed.

And many others.
If a male role model stands up feminists start shooting to wear him down.
Neil Lyndon, Warren Farrell, Murray Arnold Straus, Richard Gelles, Donald Dutton, just to mention a few.
"I can’t remember hearing a comparable message from feminist writers directed toward women."
And you never will. Feminism is all about victim-hood, misandry and NEVER, EVER accepting responsibility for your actions.
You have just given a great example of the reason feminists dislike the truth and people reading primary sources or women having to defend their statements in courts of law. The truth is rarely on the side of the feminist position on virtually anything!
Feminism is not about equality in any way whatsoever!
It is an ideology based on nothing but hatred of men and boys and is really all about power and SPECIAL STATUS FOR WOMEN IN ALL THINGS

The bus analology sounds a lot like Orion Taraban’s model from his relationship book
