Seventy-two and happily divorced for three years now, I have to constantly fend off matchmaking attempts by married relatives and acquaintances. When I casually mentioned to my cousin that I was considering a particular young lady, his wife chimed in, "Listen more; talk less."

I responded instantly: "Thanks for the advice. I'l tell her to do that."

Before she could begin the but-but-buts, I continued, "How do you think she'll respond? Probably tell me to go fuck myself - and if she does, it would be entirely appropriate."

End of conversation.

Gynocentrism had had a good run, but it is over, and it benefited from a strange set of demographic circumstances. The Patriarchy died about the time Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon. It peaked in the 1950s with Father Knows Best.

The Boomers tolerated it because they remembered the 50s / 60s and felt somewhat guilty.

Gen X men recognized the bullshit of the movement, but had careers / kids in college so they couldn't afford to speak out. As they become empty-nesters with less to lose that will change.

Millennial men internalized all the bullshit and bought into it. Maybe they wake up, but I doubt it.

Gen Z men grew up on the excesses of girls rule feminism and want no part of it.

As the boomers die out, the Millennial men will become the only ones still supporting the gynocentric regime. Gen X men don't respect them, and neither do Gen Z men.
