This really hits the nail on the head. We, as men, need to stop accepting the status quo of how women are socialized.
We also need to embrace the concept of 'confession through projection'. A woman once complained to me that "You always need to be right." I didn't even understand what she meant. I was, like, "You mean instead of being wrong? Of course I don't ever want to be wrong."
When we argued, it was about getting to the truth or finding the best solution for me but, for her, it was about winning. To her, being 'right' was being smarter and having authority. Arguing was mostly about dominance, for her, and she wanted me to submit and tap out a little more often.
