"During the COVID era, for example, persons who exercised their free speech rights to question mandates for social distancing, masking, and vaccinations were strongly criticized, prosecuted, and even jailed "

The 'covid' era is just the latest chapter in the 'germ theory' era which has lasted for the last 150 years (coincidentally the same time as feminism). The 'germ theory' paradigm, and the drug-based industry which it has spawned, was itself a product of heavy censorship as well as the deplatforming / delicensing of health practitioners. This ensured the 'germ theory' model of disease became the dominant model of disease (much like feminism became the dominant treatise on gender issues), despite being fiercely rejected by the majority of doctors and scientists at the time. What we call 'modern medicine' today should really be called 'alternative health', as it is a very recent departure from the previous paradigm.

The point being: there is perhaps no better argument for free speech than 'covid' which could not have happened without massive, coordinated censorship at the global level (the 'trusted voices' initiative ensured all media/ social media platforms parroted the WHO narrative and censored all contradictory information).

As Dan Roytas explains (see interview linked below), the theory of contagion has consistently been disproven, with over 200 studies from the last century failing (rather spectacularly) to demonstrate contagion of colds and flus via proximity or the sharing of bodily fluids.

And without any scientific proof of contagion, the concept of 'viruses' also falls apart - given that 'viruses' are defined as contagious, disease causing particles. And if you actually read all of the major scientific papers on 'viruses' from the last century (from the likes of Enders, who supposedly 'discovered' the measles virus) you find that they do not conform to the scientific method at all (falsifiable controlled experiments), and instead rely on various fallacies (such as the reification fallacy).

So it turns out the field of virology is as dishonest, deceptive and demented as the field of feminism and gender studies (with both 'narratives' justifying multi billion dollar industries and the social engineering of society). Virology and germ theory are debunked by their own scientific papers in the public domain. What is being censored are those people who are pointing this out (The Perth Group, Dr Stefan Lanka etc).

The voices calling BS on germ theory and virology are equivalent to the MRM, a group of level headed researchers who are always up for a debate, but who are completely marginalised, misrepresented, censored and hand waved away. Plus their arguments and evidence are so revolutionary they go over most people's heads who happen to stumble across them.

The threat of viruses is as real as the threat of patriarchy. Both are abstract, invisible enemies which are ever present (and self evident!).... yet impossible to pin down by any objective falsifiable criteria! :)

Just as feminist ideology was opposed from the very beginning, so was 'germ theory'. Both have endured for a century NOT because they have any legitimacy, but because both are so profitable that they can afford to buy off the media, education system, politicians, celebrities and other experts.

But now 'covid' has poked the bear and woken millions up to the fraud of germ theory/ virology and THAT is why censorship must be ramped up. If Chinese style censorship is not imposed globally, then the entire 'germ theory' paradigm WILL collapse, and along with it the entire drug/ vaccine industry. And that is to say nothing of what will happen when billions of people realise they were victims of the world's biggest criminal fraud, which destroyed their livelihoods and tricked them into injecting themselves with god-knows-what under false pretences (that qualifies as attempted murder).

False paradigms (and industries) like feminism or germ theory cannot be sustained in the internet era without draconian censorship to transform the internet into TV 2.0. These official narratives are so vulnerable right now. The aim (presumably) is to keep the public distracted for a few more years with a daily barrage of red herrings, drama, 'froth', and superficially divisive topics ..... until laws and algorithms can be put in place which will literally criminalise / remove any speech (or thought) arbitrarily and in real time.

It certainly FEELS like they are fighting a losing battle on this one ("truth will out" etc)... but on the other hand, if a population is demoralised enough they will lose the desire to even seek the truth or care about it. That is the real danger.

If the idea that viruses (as defined) do not exist and contagion is not a thing feels outrageous and instinctively wrong, just remember that for most people the idea that women are not the historical victims of male oppression also feels equally outrageous and instinctively wrong. All propaganda feels real to those who have fallen for it.

The amount of time needed to unpick feminist ideology/ patriarchy theory is about the same as the amount of time needed to unpick germ theory / contagion theory. False narratives are built up layer by layer (like sedimentary rocks) and each layer must be chipped away at.

Most people ('normies') are apathetic about free speech because they don't realise what the consequences of losing it are. The last century of 'germ theory' drug-based healthcare (climaxing with 'covid') is perhaps the best example in human history of what happens when censorship is allowed to get out of hand. Millions of people have already been injured or killed due to a medical paradigm which was already exposed as a fraud literally a century ago.... it's just that the truth was swept under the rug.
